SAN JOSE, Calif. — A growing number of celebrities and sports figures have been caught out by a controversial reality TV show that’s had a huge impact on the way celebrities portray their lives on social media.
The reality show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” stars the family behind the reality TV show of the same name. It’s been on the air since 2006.
The show was on the air from 2006 to 2016, but was canceled after about a decade.
“At some point, I don’t know when, but it was time,” says one of the show’s stars, Kendall Jenner. “We had the time.”
The Kardashian family has been making headlines recently as celebrities, including Kim Kardashian West, have been accused of stealing material from reality TV shows.

The Kardashian sisters did not ask for permission to use Kimyeh’s photo, which showed the sisters playing pool and wearing bikinis.
While celebrities have used the photograph of Kimyeh on their websites, Kim Kardashian is accused in a lawsuit of taking and selling the photo without her permission.
Kim Kardashian is suing for $50 million. The lawsuit claims that the photo Kimyeh used in the family’s reality TV show on the E! network was a sample photo used in a contest that never went forward.
“The E! network had no legal use rights,” the lawsuit says.
