A television producer and writer who was best known for the hit sitcom Schitt’s Creek has died of cancer at the age of 47.
Alan Feigin was a prolific and prolifically prolific producer who received four Daytime Emmys for writing and producing, among other television credits.
Over the course of his more than two decades in the industry, Feigin was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed writing articles about natural history, traveling and hiking.

Feigin, 47, was a well-respected producer who received an Emmy Award for his work on Schitt’s Creek in 2004. He was also well known for his many other television credits, including The Wonder Years. Feigin died in Beverly Hills early Friday morning of cancer of the adrenal glands. In a 2009 interview, Feigin said of his family: ‘I like being the most perfect person you’ll ever meet, and I don’t want to be known as perfect, but I don’t love myself less because I’m not perfect.
