Toronto to ramp up COVID-19 vaccine clinic operations in response to Omicron Delta Epsilon’s pandemic response services proposal at the University of Toronto!

On March 17, 2020, Omicron Delta Epsilon University announced that they were seeking proposals for their pandemic response services on campus and offered a $90,000+ stipend in compensation for selected projects. By the second week in April, they had an 11-strong proposal pile in front of the UofT!

The response proposed a “PANDEMIC HEALTH INITIATIVE” based on the experience of Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODESU) in COVID-19 Ontario and their own experience of being in the midst of an influenza pandemic in India. They hoped to bring similar pandemic response operations to the UofT campus.

Their proposal is to have a central pandemic health clinic in the basement of the UofT campus located on the north end of Yonge St in the old Maple Leaf Gardens. The proposal consists of several clinics covering every walk of the U of T campus. The proposed clinics will be staffed by at least two people and will be open for two hours every day during the day and a further two hours every night. They have not yet received the formal response from the University of Toronto.

The pandemic response team was given two weeks to respond on April 11 and 12.
